About The Position

Take the opportunity to work in the heart of the iGaming "Mecca" Malta, a moment away from the seafront, with hundreds of shops and eateries on your front step! This is an incredibly exciting opportunity, where you have the chance to take ownership for the backend development of a new Kotlin-fuelled platform, working with a team of iGaming veterans who have time and time again built products which today hold leading positions in the industry!

Requirements

Strong team & backend product lead skills
Strong technical judgement, confidently taking ownership for team output
Highly collaborative and experienced with managing relationship with external contributors
Senior and hands-on Kotlin/Java developer
Happy to work with AWS & MySQL
Comfortable working in a lean, fast-moving environment
Experienced with building and scaling high-transaction platforms for regulated markets

Responsibilities

Accept full technical ownership of the backend development of the platform from development and testing through deployment
Lead and form part of the backend team to create architecture which is simplistic, scalable and sustaintable
Ensure regulatory requirements are considered, together with stability and reliability
Liaise with frontend team to keep a shared view and ensure you're building the same product
Work closely with external development partner to shape technical solutions, reviewing continuously to ensure top standard of engineering quality
