Technical Lead (Coupa)

About The Position
This role serves as the primary technical lead for Coupa and related procurement technologies. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on technical expertise with solution design, integration leadership, and strategic guidance to support business operations, platform enhancements, and future-state initiatives.
Requirements
- Deep functional and technical knowledge of the Coupa platform.
- Extensive experience in Supplier Information Management (SIM), supplier master data, and procure-to-pay processes.
- Proven ability to configure Coupa workflows, forms, business rules, and related data structures.
- Proven experience designing, building, testing, and troubleshooting integrations (APIs, middleware, data mapping) between Coupa and other enterprise systems.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable system designs.
- Ability to evaluate the best technical approach (configuration vs. integration).
- Ability to assess impacts of platform changes and modernization initiatives.
- Ability to act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, implementation partners, and technology vendors.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts, provide guidance, and lead problem-solving efforts.
- Participation in both internal meetings and external meetings via video calls, as necessary.
- Ability to go into corporate or client offices to work onsite, as necessary.
- Prolonged periods of remaining stationary at a desk and working on a computer, as necessary.
- Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and reach overhead, as necessary.
- Hand-eye coordination necessary to operate computers and various pieces of office equipment, as necessary.
- Vision abilities including close vision, toleration of fluorescent lighting, and adjusting focus, as necessary.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs, as necessary (for positions requiring business travel and/or event attendance).
- A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required (for positions requiring business travel and/or event attendance, as driving is an essential job function).
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting or integrating with Tangoe/Rivermine is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Oracle EBS, Oracle Fusion, or other ERP platforms supporting procurement, finance, and supplier management processes.
- Experience supporting procurement technology modernization, platform migrations, or ERP transformation initiatives.
