The Technical Laboratory Assistant (TLA) performs phlebotomy and various technical and clerical functions within the Laboratory, adapting to the needs of individual campuses. This role involves executing routine laboratory procedures in accordance with human growth and development principles, emphasizing customer focus, teamwork, adaptability, problem-solving, communication, and personal excellence. The TLA will handle various biological specimens, including blood, tissue, fecal matter, sputum, urine, and spinal fluid, which may be contaminated with infectious diseases like HIV and other bloodborne pathogens.
