About The Position

This internship is for candidates who will be completing their Senior undergraduate year and will be enrolled in a graduate program prior to starting this full-time internship in summer 2027. The role is within the ES Defense Systems Engineering team at BAE Systems, Inc. Interns will work alongside experienced engineers and senior engineering staff on-site at BAE Systems' locations in southern New Hampshire (Nashua, Hudson, Manchester, and Merrimack). This is a paid internship with a work schedule that includes every other Friday off. Interns will gain experience in designing, developing, and testing solutions using Agile methodologies and systems engineering principles, utilizing established systems engineering tools, and assisting in other engineering activities such as integration testing, algorithm & data analysis, software troubleshooting, and documentation preparation. They will also work with other engineering disciplines like hardware and software teams. Participants will join BAE Systems' nationwide LEAP Internship & Co-op Program, which offers opportunities to work on impactful projects, engage in career development, and network with business leaders and other students.

Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in a graduate program for EE (Electrical Engineering), ECS (Electrical and Computer Science), ME (Mechanical Engineering), SW (Software Engineering) or a related field, and will complete your senior undergraduate year prior to Summer 2027
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Must be eligible for a US DoD security clearance
  • US citizenship status

  • Security clearance (secret or higher)
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher

Responsibilities
