About The Position

SAIC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Development and Engineering Intern. This internship offers hands-on experience in the government contracting and defense technology industry, providing exposure to proposal development, market research, competitive analysis, and strategic business growth initiatives. Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting market research and competitive landscape analysis to identify new business opportunities within federal, defense, and civilian government sectors
• Support the development and review of proposals, white papers, and capability statements
• Analyze data and prepare reports, briefings, and presentations for senior leadership and business development teams
• Help maintain and update the opportunity pipeline using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce or GovWin IQ)
• Collaborate with capture managers, proposal teams, and subject matter experts to support capture planning activities
• Assist in tracking procurement forecasts, RFI/RFP releases, and government budget trends
• Participate in win/loss analysis and lessons learned reviews to improve future business development strategies
• Support the development of teaming strategies and partner identification efforts
• Contribute to internal process improvement initiatives and business development best practices
• Attend meetings, industry events, and briefings to gain exposure to the government contracting ecosystem
