Technical Intern 3

BAE Systems•Westminster, CO
•$27 - $36•Onsite

About The Position

Participate in BAE Systems’ nationwide LEAP Internship & Co-op Program, which offers opportunities to learn, engage, apply skills, progress within the company, work alongside experienced professionals on impactful projects, develop careers, and network with business leaders and other students. The role is with the Space Vehicle Guidance, Navigation and Control (GN&C) team at BAE Space & Mission Systems, which supports spacecraft attitude determination and control subsystems, as well as line-of-sight and mechanism controls for payloads and space vehicles. The intern works with a team to develop and test guidance, navigation, and control systems for space programs, from preliminary design through flight. The work spans program and research and development lifecycles, requirements analysis, technical analyses, component interfaces, hardware and software development and testing, and support from new business through on-orbit operations. The role also requires documenting the GN&C approach and designs in systems engineering reports. This is an on-site position requiring in-person work five days each normally scheduled week at the primary work location. Work may take place in an office, laboratory, production floor, cleanroom, outdoors, or a remote research environment. Occasional work in production areas may require protective equipment, and access to other facilities in varied weather conditions may be necessary. Travel or commuting between company campuses and other locations may be required. Hourly rate: $26.50–$35.75.
