About The Position
This role involves performing dimensional and visual inspections of machined components, assemblies, and finished products. The Technical Inspector will utilize various measurement tools and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T. Experience with CMM machines and software, as well as non-conformance reporting, is essential.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 5 years’ experience in a Quality Inspection
- 5 yrs experience manual inspections using micrometres, calipers, height gauges, and optical comparators
- Interpret Blueprints, GD&T experience per ASME/ANSI standards
- Experience with machined components in all phases of inspection, including receiving, first article, and final inspection
- 1 year of hands-on experience operating CMM equipment
- Proven experience with manual inspection techniques and tools
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
Nice To Haves
- Experience with receiving inspection requirements including FA inspection is a plus
Responsibilities
- Perform dimensional and visual inspections of machined components, assemblies, and finished products
- Experience with CMM Machines. Calypso Software
- Working experience with high-precision measurements and first-article inspections (FAI)
- Manual inspections using micrometres, calipers, height gauges, and optical comparators
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T experience per ASME/ANSI standards
- Non-conformance reports (NCRs) and Inspection Report experience
