About The Position

Xometry is seeking a Technical Executive Communications Manager to build and elevate internal and external narratives for technical leadership. The role translates complex technical, product, and architectural milestones into compelling stories for technical and non-technical audiences. Approximately 80% of the role supports the Chief Technology Officer, with the remaining 20% supporting the CXO and leadership team on technical and product storytelling. The position is suited to someone who understands Product-Led Growth environments, how product features drive business value, and how to work with engineers, product managers, and executives to create authentic content. The manager will develop the CTO’s narrative and thought leadership in software architecture, AI/ML, engineering culture, and product innovation. Work includes creating external content, supporting speaking and media engagements, drafting product announcements, and developing internal communications about technical roadmaps, architecture, and product vision. The role also supports select leadership keynotes and external commentary, and works with the VP of Communications to align executive narratives with the broader communications strategy.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of experience in technical executive communications, corporate communications, PR, or technical content strategy within the B2B tech industry.
  • Proven track record in a Product-Led Growth (PLG) technology company.
  • Understanding of how product usage, developer ecosystem dynamics, and SaaS metrics inform executive narratives.
  • Ability to interview engineers, software architects, and product leaders and translate complex technical concepts into accessible content.
  • Exceptional ghostwriting, editing, and speechwriting skills.
  • Ability to develop storytelling in written, visual, and motion mediums, including directing creative resources and/or using digital and AI tools independently.
  • Comfort incorporating digital and AI tools into daily workflows as an enhancement to execution, not a substitute for strategic thinking.
  • High emotional intelligence and confidence working directly with C-level executives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the CTO’s narrative strategy and position them as a thought leader in software architecture, AI/ML, engineering culture, and product innovation.
  • Draft external content, including keynote presentations, technical blog posts, op-eds, podcast talking points, social media posts, and media briefing materials.
  • Support CTO speaking events, keynotes, panel discussions, and media operations as appropriate.
  • Draft product-news press releases and media announcements in partnership with corporate communications.
  • Develop internal communications to align engineering, product, and cross-functional teams around technical roadmaps, architectural shifts, and product vision.
  • Work with product marketing, communications, and engineering teams to turn complex product capabilities into customer-centric stories.
  • Support preparation of selected keynote decks and external product- and technical-focused commentary for the CXO and leadership team.
  • Work closely with the VP of Communications to align executive narratives with the overarching communications strategy.
  • Establish an authentic, authoritative, and engaging executive tone of voice.
  • Interview technical stakeholders and translate dense product and technical concepts into clear, accessible content.
  • Provide direction to creative resources and/or use digital and AI tools to bring concepts to life in written, visual, and motion formats.
