About The Position

Xometry is seeking a Technical Executive Communications Manager to build and elevate the internal and external narrative for technical leadership. The role translates complex technical, product, and architectural milestones into compelling stories for technical and non-technical audiences. The work is allocated approximately 80% to the Chief Technology Officer and 20% to the CXO and leadership team, focusing on technical and product storytelling. The manager will develop the CTO’s communications strategy and position the CTO as a thought leader in software architecture, AI/ML, engineering culture, and product innovation. The role also supports select communications and presentations for other executives, working closely with communications, product marketing, engineering, and product teams. The ideal candidate is experienced in Product-Led Growth environments, understands how product features create business value, and can work with technical stakeholders to ghostwrite authentic executive content.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of experience in technical executive communications, corporate communications, PR, or technical content strategy within the B2B technology industry.
  • Proven track record in a Product-Led Growth (PLG) technology company and understanding of how product usage, developer ecosystem dynamics, and SaaS metrics inform executive narratives.
  • Ability to interview engineers, software architects, and product leaders and translate dense product and technical concepts into clear, accessible content.
  • Exceptional ghostwriting, editing, and speechwriting skills.
  • Ability to bring concepts to life in written form and visual or motion mediums, including directing creative resources and/or using digital or AI tools independently.
  • Comfort incorporating digital and AI tools into daily workflows as an enhancement to execution, not a substitute for strategic thinking.
  • High emotional intelligence and confidence working directly with C-level executives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the CTO’s narrative strategy and position the CTO as a thought leader in software architecture, AI/ML, engineering culture, and product innovation.
  • Draft external content, including keynote presentations, technical blog posts, op-eds, podcast talking points, social media posts, and media briefing materials.
  • Support CTO speaking events, keynotes, panel discussions, and media operations as appropriate.
  • Draft product-news-based press releases and media announcements in partnership with corporate communications.
  • Develop internal communications that align engineering, product, and cross-functional teams around technical roadmaps, architectural shifts, and product vision.
  • Collaborate with product marketing, communications, and engineering teams to translate complex product capabilities into customer-centric storytelling.
  • Support preparation of select keynote decks and external product- and technical-based commentary for the CXO and leadership team.
  • Work with the VP of Communications to align executive narratives with the overarching communications strategy.
  • Establish an authentic, authoritative, and engaging tone of voice for executives.
  • Interview technical stakeholders and translate dense product and technical concepts into accessible content.
  • Give direction to creative resources and/or use digital and AI tools to produce written and visual or motion-based storytelling.
