About The Position

GXM is seeking a Technical Engineering Advisor to support advanced defense and space-related technical programs. This role will provide systems engineering, technical analysis, program execution support, and advisory assistance to Government stakeholders for complex mission systems, integrated C2 environments, and enterprise modernization efforts. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting Government programs in a SETA, A&AS, technical advisor, or mission integration role. This individual will work closely with Government customers, program managers, architects, engineers, and vendors to assess technical approaches, track execution, reduce program risk, and support delivery of mission capabilities. This role is onsite in Colorado Springs, CO. Hybrid flexibility may be available over time based on mission requirements, program execution needs, and achievement of objectives.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen with active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field.
  • 7+ years of experience supporting DoD, defense, space, or mission-critical technical programs.
  • Experience in a SETA, systems engineering, technical advisor, or mission integration role in one of the following:
  • Supporting physical and virtual infrastructure integration within classified or multi-classification operational environments.
  • Supporting Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities for classified or mission-critical operational environments.
  • Understanding of systems engineering lifecycle processes, requirements management, integration, test, and transition activities.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, software systems, or operational mission systems.
  • Strong analytical, coordination, communication, and briefing skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting defense, space, or multi-domain operational environments.
  • Familiarity with integrated C2 systems, Digital Engineering, MBSE, or enterprise modernization initiatives.
  • Experience supporting Government technical reviews, acquisition activities, or vendor assessments.
  • Knowledge of RMF, DISA STIGs, Zero Trust, or DoD cybersecurity requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical advisory support to Government stakeholders across program planning, execution, integration, and delivery activities.
  • Support technical assessment of architecture, requirements, schedules, risks, vendor solutions, and engineering approaches.
  • Assist with development, review, and coordination of technical documentation, CONOPS, requirements, interface documentation, test plans, and program artifacts.
  • Support integrated C2, cloud, software, data, cybersecurity, and mission system modernization efforts.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams, technical leads, vendors, and mission partners to identify dependencies, risks, issues, and mitigation strategies.
  • Support technical interchange meetings, design reviews, integration reviews, readiness reviews, and Government decision forums.
  • Track technical progress against milestones, deliverables, schedules, and performance objectives.
  • Evaluate proposed technical solutions for feasibility, interoperability, scalability, cybersecurity alignment, and mission relevance.
  • Support test, evaluation, integration, and transition planning for operational mission capabilities.
  • Prepare briefings, technical assessments, status updates, risk summaries, and recommendation packages for Government and program leadership.
