About The Position

The Engagement Lead is a primary client-facing owner in ED&D, accountable for connecting delivery execution with strategic advisory and commercial stewardship. The role owns end-to-end client engagements, ensuring delivery excellence; leading teams that may include Architects, Data Engineers, Developers, Business Analysts, and Quality Assurance; developing internal and external relationships; identifying or leading growth pursuits; and connecting clients with broader Dentsu capabilities. Depending on the assignment, the role may oversee ongoing client engagements, lead project-based work, or do both. Engagement Leads are expected to work consultatively, own outcomes, and coordinate across teams to create value for clients. They use data to guide client interactions and understand how it flows, is activated, and contributes to measurable customer experience outcomes and business results. They are conversant with modern data and MarTech stacks, proactive, commercially minded, curious about clients’ businesses, and committed to continuous learning, including hands-on use of AI tools. The position combines client relationship ownership, consultative technology guidance, delivery and team accountability, data governance and compliance, commercial performance, and AI-enabled efficiency. The role requires working knowledge of data platforms and activation platforms, the ability to interpret technical artifacts and evaluate solution trade-offs, and the judgment to identify delivery risks and guide scope and investment decisions. It also supports compliance with privacy, security, data-use, and postal requirements, particularly for regulated clients and third-party data. The position is hybrid, with remote flexibility and regular in-person collaboration. Employees living within commuting distance (90 minutes) of a Dentsu headquarters or hub office may be required to work in the office two to three days per week, including one Team Day. Employees who do not live near an office may be designated remote depending on the role and business needs. Employees are expected to be flexible to meet company and client needs, which may include attending an office from time to time. The annual salary range is $94,000–$155,000, with placement based on relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
