About The Position

In support of Program Manager Tactical Communications & Electromagnetic Warfare Systems (PM TCE), we are seeking a Technical Editor. This role involves serving as a technical writer, reviewing, proofreading, and modifying technical, program, and acquisition documentation. The Technical Editor will leverage knowledge of Military Standards, Department of the Army, or Department of Defense technical writing style manuals, format guides, General Services Administration printing regulations, and/or special instructions given by the customer or program offices to deliver compliant program documentation. Additionally, the role provides editorial and quality assurance support for various documents, including system specifications, user manuals, reports, and training materials, supporting formal and informal reviews throughout the development cycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 0-3 Years of Experience
  • Secret Clearance preferred/ability to obtain Secret Clearance required.
  • Familiarity of Department of Defense (DoD) and Marine Corps policies related to providing complex acquisition analysis and planning and management support, not limited to DoD Instruction 5000.02, Adaptive Acquisition Framework and the Marine Corps Systems Command Acquisition Guidebook.
  • Proficiency using data repositories and document management tools, such as Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Teams to extract, update, and report program data and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical writer, reviewing, proofreading, and modifying technical, program, and acquisition documentation, not limited to system specifications, user manuals, software products, and special reports.
  • Leverage knowledge of Military Standards, Department of the Army, or Department of Defense technical writing style manuals, format guides, General Services Administration printing regulations, and/or special instructions given by the customer or program offices to deliver compliant program documentation.
  • Provide editorial and quality assurance support for documents, functional descriptions, system specifications, user manuals, reports, training materials, and other customer deliverables to support and/or participate in formal and informal reviews throughout the development cycle.
  • Deliver technical writing and editing support for formal acquisition documentation, ensuring consistency, format, language, grammar, and technical accuracy.
  • Provide end-to-end document process support, to include coordination with government personnel to facilitate timely document reviews; verifying the appropriate signature authority; maintaining electronic libraries; and supporting both reoccurring and ad-hoc requests for information.
  • Participate in Working Groups, Integrated Product Team Meetings, Technical Reviews, and Decision Briefings with internal and external stakeholders.
