About The Position

Join the Nalley Consulting team as a Technical Editor at DIA HQ. This role involves reviewing intelligence products for proper grammar, punctuation, syntax, logic, clarity, and consistency. The Technical Editor will ensure that style and format conform to agency publication standards and that language presentation is consistent with prescribed style guides and specialized vocabulary. Responsibilities include amending draft tables, tone boxes, and graphics to ensure content supports and is consistent with accompanying text, and ensuring proper classification markings in accordance with IC guidance. The position also requires working with authors to revise products for narrative organization and negotiating further revisions as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience or 7 years of relevant experience.
  • TS/SCI with active CI poly or willingness to take CI poly.
  • 2+ years of experience as a writer, editor, or intelligence analyst in an IC organization
  • Knowledge of the intelligence community
  • Ability to proofread, edit, and correct text for style and accuracy
  • Experience in producing all-source intelligence analysis and managing the production of analysis products.

  • Ensures proper classification markings in accordance with IC guidance.
  • Works with authors to revise products for narrative organization, and negotiates further revisions as needed.
