Develops, writes, and edits material for standard and custom operation and maintenance manuals and other technical documentation for test chambers and ovens for the Gruenberg and Blue M brands. This role involves observing production, developmental, and experimental activities to determine operating procedures and details. It also includes interviewing production and engineering personnel, reading reports, and reviewing manufacturer's catalogs, drawings, and other data to understand product technologies and production methods. The engineer will study blueprints, sketches, drawings, parts lists, specifications, mock-ups, and product samples to integrate and delineate technology, operating procedures, and production sequences. Material will be organized and written according to set standards for order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology. The role requires selecting and using photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material, including photographing equipment in various stages of assembly, test, and final layout. The engineer will also prepare or arrange for the preparation of indexes and publication layouts, maintain records and files of work and revisions, and seek ways to streamline the assembly of future manuals. Additionally, the position involves arranging for formatting, reproduction, storage, distribution, and ongoing maintenance of material, reviewing previously published materials for accuracy, and generating Process Validation documents such as FAT, SAT, and IQ/OQ. Collaboration with Engineering, Test, and Project Management departments is crucial for accuracy and on-time delivery, with ongoing document support provided to internal and external customers. Support for the Customer Service Department for technical information typically found in an Operation Manual is also required.
