About The Position
NPG of Yuma-El Centro Yuma, Arizona has an immediate opening for a part-time technical director Intern to direct local newscasts. The successful candidate will be expected to direct/technical direct newscasts, live cut-ins and pre-produced news segments, promos and programs; work with the Anchor/Producer and Reporter/Videographer and staff to advance shows technically and creatively. KECY-TV is a facility new to broadcast news but owned by a company dedicated to providing the best news coverage in the markets it serves.
Requirements
- Interest in television News Production
- Working knowledge of Video/Audio/Graphics Production systems and techniques
- Demonstrable, working knowledge of studio lighting systems
- Outstanding verbal communication skills
- Ability to function in high-pressure situations
- Detail-oriented with problem solving skills
- Valid Arizona driver’s license
- Pass a drug test and background check
