About The Position

Ecoverse is a national distributor of environmental and recycling equipment, holding exclusive distribution agreements with leading overseas OEMs and manufacturing partners. We supply dealers and end customers with high-performance recycling machinery, backed by responsive parts, service, and sales support. The Technical Director serves as the critical link between Ecoverse and its overseas factories and OEM partners, translating manufacturer expertise into internal capability. This role is responsible for building and strengthening technical communication across the Sales, Parts, and Service departments, ensuring that knowledge gained from manufacturers is captured, standardized, and distributed throughout the organization. The ultimate goal is to increase internal efficiency by leveraging external technical resources, resulting in better-informed employees, faster issue resolution, and higher satisfaction among dealers and customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in technical roles within heavy equipment, recycling, construction, or industrial machinery industries
  • Experience working directly with international manufacturers/OEMs
  • Demonstrated ability to train and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and project management skills
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
  • Proficiency with CRM/ERP systems and knowledge-base/documentation tools
  • Technical fluency in mechanical/hydraulic equipment systems
  • Cross-cultural communication (international OEM relationships)
  • Process-oriented mindset with a focus on measurable efficiency gains
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary technical point of contact with overseas factories and OEM partners
  • Coordinate on product updates, technical bulletins, specification changes, and engineering support
  • Manage escalation of complex technical or warranty issues to manufacturers and track resolution
  • Travel to factories/OEM sites as needed for technical reviews, audits, and training sessions
  • Develop and deliver technical training programs for internal staff (Sales, Parts, Service) and external dealers
  • Translate manufacturer technical documentation into accessible internal training materials, SOPs, and reference guides
  • Build a structured onboarding/training curriculum for new technical and sales hires
  • Coordinate factory-led training visits and certifications for service staff
  • Establish regular communication channels and processes between Sales, Parts, and Service to reduce silos
  • Create and maintain a centralized technical knowledge base accessible to all departments
  • Facilitate information flow so Sales can accurately represent product capabilities, Parts can anticipate demand, and Service can resolve issues efficiently
  • Lead recurring cross-functional meetings to align on product issues, field feedback, and recurring technical themes
  • Identify gaps in technical knowledge or communication that impact dealer/customer satisfaction
  • Develop feedback loops from field/service data back to OEMs to drive product improvements
  • Support development of internal technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and FAQs
  • Monitor and report on KPIs related to training effectiveness, response times, and issue resolution
