About The Position

Univision Chicago is seeking a Technical Director with skills in broadcast/media management and technical operations. This position will require work on nights, weekends and holidays. The role involves directing all elements of on-air elements, audio, and video of a station television program or segment, including blocking, coding of rundown and production execution of newscasts, pre-recorded shows, live cut-ins, pre-recorded cut-ins and station IDs. The Technical Director will also operate studio control, Vizrt Graphics, Sony switchers, Sony ELC, and the Avid ecosystem. Responsibilities include Robo-Cam operation, lighting operation, non-linear editing using Avid Media Composer and Media Central, and inbound feed management, prep/processing, and routing (Microwave & Satellite) using Avid Capture Recording Equipment. Effective communication with all station departments, master control operations hub, and sat ops centers is crucial. This position is represented by NABET-CWA.

Responsibilities
