Technical Director
About The Position
Oversees from conception to final execution specifically managing the technical elements, bridging artistic vision with technical execution. Ensures the project's quality and safety by setting and enforcing procedures to create a safe environment for performers and technicians. Troubleshoots during rehearsals and performances and acts as the point person for any technical issues that arise, diagnosing and resolving them to keep production running smoothly. Directly involved in building sets, hanging lights, setting up sound equipment, projections, and other technology-based elements. Trains volunteer or student crews, often focusing on foundational skills and general safety procedures. Functions as both a manager and a technician.
