About The Position

The Technical Development Program Internship at AbbVie Bioresearch Center (ABC) in Worcester, Massachusetts is a paid, 11-week summer internship. Interns work on meaningful assignments that affect the business and patients worldwide, with placements based on business needs and skill sets. Potential functional areas include Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain. Example projects have included product and process optimization in a manufacturing facility, quality systems data analysis to identify compliance trends, and EHS risk management assessment. High-performing interns may be considered for ABC’s three-year Technical Development Program after graduation. That program includes three work rotations across Operations functional areas and aims to develop future leaders through business exposure and professional development.

Requirements

Be currently enrolled in a university and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related major.
Be enrolled in university during the semester following the internship.
Have an expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028.
Demonstrate leadership skills through extracurricular activities or projects.
