About The Position

This role is for a Technical Design Engineer who will be the face of innovation, leading sales and project presentations, conducting product demos, and developing technical resources. The engineer will also be responsible for answering technical questions, bringing designs from concept to production using CAD models and BOMs, estimating fabrication costs, evaluating customer proposals for feasibility, and recommending system modifications for optimal performance. The role involves collaborating with sales and quality teams to address technical challenges and expand influence through industry organizations. The position offers diverse experience and the opportunity to wear multiple hats.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 0–5 years of experience (internships, co-ops, or hands-on projects a big plus!).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor (2009+), and blueprint reading—or a willingness to learn fast.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • A collaborative mindset and a hunger for growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engaging sales and project presentations.
  • Conduct hands-on product demos.
  • Develop cutting-edge technical resources like field reports, white papers, and product catalogs.
  • Answer technical questions about material properties and applications.
  • Work with isometric drawings, CAD models, and fabrication BOMs to bring designs from concept to production.
  • Estimate fabrication costs to help sales teams build competitive quotes.
  • Evaluate customer proposals, specs, and manuals to assess feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements.
  • Recommend system modifications to ensure peak performance, compliance, and reliability.
  • Partner with sales and quality teams to tackle technical challenges and deliver top-tier solutions.
  • Get involved with industry organizations and committees, growing expertise and network.
  • Wear multiple hats and gain diverse experience in the field.
