About The Position

MDW Associates is seeking a Technical Delivery Manager to support our Missile Defense Agency (MDA) customer at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. This role focuses on leading sustainment and enhancement efforts for a newly implemented Appian-based software suite used for Acquisition, Human Resources, and Financial Management. The Technical Delivery Manager will lead software developers and other technical personnel, acting as a key interface between the government customer and the development team. This is a hybrid position based in Huntsville, Alabama, requiring candidates to be within a two-hour commuting distance or willing to relocate.

  • MS/MA in business, technical or related field with 10 years or greater of DoW Experience, especially in Software Development/Sustainment
  • Experience with Appian or any SaaS Product

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer engagement.
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted customer relationships.
  • Lead meetings including sprint reviews, status updates, and issue resolution.
  • Manage customer expectations, risks, and dependencies.
  • Ensure solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality.
  • Drive sprint planning, prioritization, and backlog refinement in collaboration with the development group.
  • Monitor progress, identify risks, and minimize schedule delays.
  • Ensure alignment between government customer requirements and technical implementation.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the product architecture, capabilities, and limitations.
  • Provide hands-on guidance when needed.
  • Ensure product configurations and customizations are aligned with the customer's strategic direction.
  • Work with Helpdesk to proactively build solutions to common user issues.
  • Support team workload management.
  • Provide performance feedback and contribute to professional development.
  • Track delivery metrics and report status to internal stakeholders.
  • Drive process improvements across delivery workflows.
  • Ensure documentation standards and governance requirements are met.
  • Contribute to best practices and reusable frameworks.
