About The Position

CTG is seeking to fill a Technical Data Analyst position for our client. This is an ongoing contract role located in Atlanta, GA, Charlotte, NC, or Raleigh, NC, with no remote work option. The role involves analyzing SAS programs, macros, datasets, and business logic to support migration and modernization to Snowflake. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining Source-to-Target Mapping (STM/MapDocs), transformation logic, data lineage, and business rules. The analyst will perform data profiling, data quality analysis, validation, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis. They will also develop complex SQL, analyze Snowflake schemas, tables, views, data models, and database objects, and analyze ETL workflows using Talend and Informatica. The position requires validating data across various layers, supporting data migration, data warehousing, reporting, analytics, and data modernization initiatives. Additionally, the role involves supporting Power BI/Tableau reports and dashboards, monitoring data pipelines, supporting SLA/OLA reporting, and collaborating with various teams including Data Engineers, ETL Developers, Architects, Business Analysts, and stakeholders. Support for SIT, UAT, production releases, post-deployment validation, and issue resolution is also expected, along with maintaining data governance, metadata, technical documentation, data lineage, and data quality standards.

Requirements

Experience analyzing complex SAS code, datasets, macros, and data transformation logic.
Experience with Snowflake, SQL, data warehousing, ETL, data migration, and data validation.
Experience creating Source-to-Target Mapping and data lineage documentation.
Experience with data profiling, reconciliation, data quality, and governance.
Experience working with ETL tools such as Talend or Informatica.
Experience supporting data integration, testing, production releases, and Agile/Scrum environments.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

Responsibilities

Analyze SAS programs, macros, datasets, and business logic to support migration and modernization to Snowflake.
Develop and maintain Source-to-Target Mapping (STM/MapDocs), transformation logic, data lineage, and business rules.
Perform data profiling, data quality analysis, validation, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis.
Develop complex SQL, including advanced CTEs, for data analysis and validation.

Analyze ETL workflows using Talend and Informatica and support ETL testing and deployment validation.
Validate data across source, staging, integration, Snowflake, and reporting layers.
Support data migration, data warehousing, reporting, analytics, and data modernization initiatives.
Develop or support Power BI/Tableau reports and dashboards.
Monitor data pipelines and support SLA/OLA reporting and performance tracking.
Collaborate with Data Engineers, ETL Developers, Architects, Business Analysts, and stakeholders.
