Requirements

  • General office computer proficiency.
  • Excellent phone sales skills.
  • Ability to be a fabulous team player.
  • Passion for detail and organization.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in selling industrial supplies, equipment, or machinery spares.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and work well with a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to locate parts based on customer needs and quote spares/replacement accordingly, or willingness to learn.
  • Mechanical aptitude strongly desired.
  • Ability to solve problems under stress and maintain a "cool-head".
  • Love to work in an office environment.
  • Enthusiastic about customer phone support.
  • Ability to engage customers with a transactional approach.
  • Passionate about customer service.
  • Self-organization and self-starter skills.
  • Experience in Accounts Receivable, Invoicing, Fulfilment and other accounting transactions.
  • Solid grasp of basic computer systems - Microsoft Outlook/Word/Excel, CRM (training provided for company-specific systems).
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Brilliant task and time management skills; consistently complete assigned tasks on time.

Nice To Haves

  • Fluent in use of Salesforce.com CRM system and NetSuite.
  • Ability to write technical sales letters.
  • Experience in the abrasives blasting and corrosion control industry.
  • Willingness to solve customer’s problems and work with internal staff to reach a collective solution.

Responsibilities

  • Act as an Account Manager, fielding customer phone calls and generating service tickets or answering inquiries.
  • Pursue prospecting and sales calls via phone, from an existing BlastOne customer base.
  • Convert sales inquiries into orders, providing an "unbelievable level of service" that exceeds performance standards.
  • Ensure timely responses to all customer inquiries with an enthusiastic "Can-Do" attitude.
  • Work closely with the support team to hand off non-sales activities.
  • Monitor and record incoming costs, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financials by entering transactions into accounting software, with close coordination with the Accounting Department.
  • Review expense reports and time allocations submitted by field technicians for proper project allocation.
  • Schedule field technicians.
