About The Position

This position supports plant manufacturing equipment systems under the direction of the Plant Maintenance Manager. The Technical Continuity Lead is a highly skilled technical resource responsible for leading complex equipment repairs through to completion, supporting engineering and quality investigations, and maintaining critical technical documentation. This role bridges the gap between maintenance operations and engineering functions, ensuring that institutional knowledge is captured, systems are properly documented, and technical standards are upheld. The Technical Continuity Lead serves as a key contributor to PM remediation efforts, obsolescence programs, and Wiki-based knowledge management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency required.
  • Technical apprenticeship or Associate's degree in a related electrical, mechanical, or engineering field preferred; equivalent job experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills for complex electro-mechanical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and PLC logic
  • Proficiency with documentation tools and platforms, including Wiki or equivalent knowledge management systems
  • Understanding of cGMP requirements and experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with QCR processes and quality investigation protocols
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in an advanced maintenance technician or technical lead role with demonstrated expertise in complex equipment repair, engineering collaboration, and technical documentation.
  • Proven track record of leading repairs to completion, supporting multi-functional investigations, and maintaining technical knowledge systems.

Nice To Haves

  • PLC troubleshooting experience desirable; programming experience a plus
  • Medical device or other regulated industry experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage major equipment repairs from initial diagnosis through full resolution and documentation
  • Support engineering upgrades and Quality Change Request (QCR) implementations on production equipment
  • Assist engineering teams in the investigation of complex equipment failures and reliability concerns
  • Support quality investigations by providing technical expertise, equipment history, and repair documentation
  • Perform PM Remediation work to address gaps identified through audits, equipment failures, or quality findings
  • Conduct critical station setup verifications to ensure preventative maintenance procedures are accurate, complete, and properly implemented
  • Maintain and update technical documentation and the Wiki, ensuring all procedures, drawings, and records are current and accessible
  • Identify and support obsolescence work by flagging end-of-life equipment and components for engineering review
