About The Position

Parameter is hiring a technical content creator to explain security and AI to engineers and security teams through videos and social posts. The goal is to teach audiences about topics such as how attacks work, why tools miss vulnerabilities, and how AI is changing offensive security, establishing Parameter as a trusted source for understanding the field.

The creator will work directly with Parameter’s founders and security researchers, who will provide technical expertise for content. The candidate does not need to have a security background at the outset but should be curious and willing to learn the subject thoroughly. The role includes creating content for YouTube, LinkedIn, and X, and helping with other marketing content as needed. The position requires working onsite in San Francisco.

Compensation is $120,000–$170,000 plus equity, depending on experience. The interview process consists of an introductory call, a review of existing content and discussion, a paid take-home assignment to script and produce a short explainer on a mutually selected security topic, and an onsite meeting with the team.

Requirements

• Have a body of published content, such as a channel, posts, or videos, demonstrating the ability to explain technical topics clearly.
• Be comfortable on camera and able to script and record videos independently.
• Have strong writing and storytelling skills.
• Be technically capable of understanding how software works and learning new topics quickly.
• Be able to work onsite in San Francisco.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in security, software engineering, or AI.
• Experience creating content or working in developer relations at a startup.
• Video editing, motion graphics, or animation skills; these are not required, and the role will work with the design team on production.
• An audience of your own, of any size.

Responsibilities

• Plan, script, and record long-form and short-form explainer videos for YouTube, LinkedIn, and X.
• Turn research, product launches, and security news into clear breakdowns.
• Work with researchers to ensure content is technically accurate.
• Build and run Parameter’s YouTube channel and social presence.
• Track performance, including views, retention, and signups, and adjust content accordingly.
• Help with other marketing content as needed, including launch videos, demos, and blog posts.
