Technical Consultant

Practifi
$85,000 - $110,000Remote

About The Position

Clients trust us with the systems that run their business, and that trust is earned one project at a time by people who know the platform. As a Technical Consultant, you're that person. You take a client's requirements, figure out what Practifi can genuinely do (versus what would just create a maintenance headache down the line), and build it. You're the technical half of our paired model, working alongside a Business Analyst who owns the relationship while you own the build. When something breaks or a client needs an escalation handled with confidence, you're often the one they're counting on. The Core Work • Manage client projects assigned through SOWs, partnering with a Business Analyst and the client to scope requirements and design a solution that holds up. • Lead or participate in client calls to gather and clarify project requirements, then build it in Practifi following a defined development lifecycle. • Run training sessions and demos so clients understand what you built and why. • Serve as an escalation point for the Support team on configuration questions involving custom orgs, and as a direct escalation point for MSP clients on complex or urgent issues. The Reality Check • You'll learn the specifics of Practifi's platform (JSON Components, Process Types, Task Templates, Lookup Rollup Summaries) even if you already know Salesforce cold. You'll have a Practibuddy mentor from day one and Senior Technical Consultants to lean on for the harder builds. • Some weeks are heads-down building. Others are back-to-back client calls and training sessions. Both are part of the job. The Growth Part • Learnbucks, our annual education stipend, is yours to use on certifications or courses that sharpen your skills. • This role has a clear next step to Senior Technical Consultant, and the escalation and client-facing work you'll do here builds the track record to get there.

Requirements

  • Salesforce Admin I Certification.
  • Experience configuring Salesforce and Practifi objects, fields, page layouts, and Lightning Pages, plus building screen flows and record-triggered flows of moderate complexity.
  • Comfort with Data Loader, Salesforce Inspector, and Dev Console, including querying and updating records directly in the data model.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce's security model (Profiles, Roles, Permission Sets, Custom Permissions, Divisions) and the ability to configure it to a client's requirements.
  • Genuinely curious about how systems fit together, and you ask questions instead of guessing.
  • Can explain a technical decision to a non-technical client without talking down to them.
  • Take ownership of your projects and communicate proactively when something's off track, rather than waiting to be asked.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in wealth management, financial advisory, or fintech SaaS.
  • Experience running client-facing training sessions or demos.
  • Exposure to platform upgrade or migration projects.
