Technical Business Analyst
About The Position
The Technical Business Analyst bridges business needs and technical implementation, combining business analysis, software development knowledge, and Agile expertise. The role works with stakeholders, developers, architects, product teams, and QA to shape software solutions and translate requirements into technical specifications. It supports initiatives from requirements gathering and solution design through testing, implementation, release readiness, and production support. The position also contributes to process improvement and operational efficiency through workflow analysis, documentation, and data-driven recommendations. It currently operates in a hybrid arrangement, working from home and in-office environments, with attendance at in-person meetings as determined by management. The role is based in a general office environment and involves regular computer use and periods of sitting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; or an associate degree with 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Software Developer, or in a similar hybrid role.
- Coding background in Python, JavaScript, SQL, Angular, note.js, C#, or similar programming languages.
- Hands-on experience with databases, APIs, and system integrations.
- Experience collaborating with SaaS application teams on enhancements and support.
- Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe, and experience working in Agile teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts in business-friendly language.

Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, or other Agile tools.
- Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Understanding of UX/UI principles, wireframing, and prototyping tools.
- Certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-PBA, CBAP, or Agile BA.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Work with developers, architects, product managers, UX/UI designers, product owners, and engineering teams to translate business needs into technical specifications and improve usability.
- Conduct gap analysis, impact assessments, and feasibility studies for new initiatives.
- Create and refine wireframes, mockups, prototypes, workflow diagrams, and functional models.
- Support business process modeling, workflow analysis, and operational improvement efforts.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings, requirements workshops, and solution discussions.
- Define and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows in Agile environments.
- Partner with engineering and architecture teams on solution design and technical implementation.
- Work with APIs, databases, system integrations, SaaS platforms, enterprise applications, and digital platforms to align technical solutions with business requirements.
- Assist with data analysis, validation, troubleshooting, system testing, test-case development, debugging, and defect resolution.
- Collaborate with QA teams to define test scenarios, validate outcomes, and support quality assurance.
- Support release readiness, implementation planning, and production support activities as needed.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to support Agile delivery.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
- Assist in prioritizing features and enhancements based on business value and technical complexity.
- Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing with business stakeholders and development teams.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, process workflows, and user guides.
- Identify process inefficiencies and recommend automation or system enhancements.
- Analyze trends, system usage, and performance metrics to support data-driven decisions.
