JMT is ranked #45 on Engineering News-Record’s list of the Top 500 Design Firms. JMT is looking for Transportation Construction Inspection professionals to join their Central Pennsylvania Team. Their main clients include the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, and other Local Government agencies in the Central PA Region. The chosen candidate will use standard inspection procedures to monitor ongoing activities during and after construction, ensuring structural quality, general safety, and adherence to plans, specifications, and codes. This position does not offer immigration sponsorship or support (e.g., H1B, F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT), except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification.

Requirements

  • Transportation Construction Inspection experience
  • Ability to apply standard inspection procedures
  • Ability to ensure structural quality, general safety, and conformance to plans, specifications and codes
  • Ability to review and interpret plans, site layouts, specifications and construction methods
  • Ability to perform routine tests on concrete, soils and other materials
  • Ability to measure dimensions and verify level, alignment, and elevation of structures, fixtures, grades and/or pavement
  • Ability to gather and maintain record documents
  • Ability to make field notes and computations

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation clients
  • Experience with Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission clients
  • Experience with Local Government agencies in Central PA

Responsibilities
