Technical Architect – Appian & Salesforce Platforms

NetImpact Strategies•Remote,
•$172,000 - $210,000

About The Position

NetImpact Strategies is seeking a hands-on Technical Architect to lead customer-facing application development and modernization initiatives. The role works directly with customers to understand applications, business processes, data, integrations, and modernization objectives, and translates those needs into production-ready architecture and software. The position combines traditional software-engineering depth with hands-on experience building and deploying enterprise applications on Appian and/or Salesforce. It is not a platform-administration or low-code-only role. The architect uses modern AI-assisted development tools to generate and accelerate code, tests, documentation, and technical analysis, while remaining accountable for the security, quality, maintainability, and production readiness of the final solution. The successful candidate will lead discovery, assess existing systems, make platform and build-versus-platform decisions, design and develop application components and integrations, and guide delivery teams through implementation, testing, deployment, stabilization, and support. They will communicate technical decisions, risks, and tradeoffs to customers, business stakeholders, and engineering teams. NetImpact Strategies is a federal-government digital transformation advisor that delivers work across strategic consulting, process automation, cloud, DevSecOps, data and analytics, and cybersecurity. The posted salary range is $172,000–$210,000; actual compensation may vary based on factors including skills, experience, training, location, and benefits.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain the required federal suitability or security clearance.
  • 10+ years of software development, application architecture, solution architecture, or technical-delivery experience.

  • Strong hands-on engineering experience with Java, C#/.NET, Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or comparable enterprise technologies.
  • Hands-on experience building and deploying production applications using Appian and/or Salesforce in a large enterprise environment.
  • Experience designing APIs, integrations, distributed systems, data solutions, and secure enterprise applications.
  • Experience integrating Appian or Salesforce applications with custom software, databases, identity providers, cloud services, and external APIs.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, containers, CI/CD, automated testing, security tooling, and production observability.
  • Practical experience using AI tools to generate, refactor, test, document, or analyze production software, with disciplined human validation.
  • Strong customer-facing discovery, consulting, communication, technical leadership, and problem-solving skills.
