About The Position

TalentFish is seeking a Technical Applications Engineer for a leading manufacturer of HVAC air-side products. This role is crucial within the Inside Sales organization, providing technical support to sales representatives, consulting engineers, and internal teams. The position involves applying deep HVAC product knowledge to project requirements, developing quotations, interacting with customers, and managing opportunities to drive business growth. The engineer will offer technical expertise, create accurate quotes, assist with product selection, and support sales representatives in securing projects. This role offers a blend of technical problem-solving, customer engagement, and business impact, working with a diverse HVAC product portfolio and a nationwide sales network. The company utilizes modern technologies, including AI-driven quoting support, CRM modernization, and self-service commerce, valuing technical expertise and innovation.

Responsibilities

Serve as a trusted technical resource for independent sales representatives across North America.
Assist with product selection, application questions, and project-specific requirements.
Recommend product configurations and alternative solutions aligned with project objectives.
Help position products effectively through responsive support and technical expertise.
Build strong working relationships with representatives and customers.
Answer technical product questions from consulting engineers.
Provide application guidance and product selection assistance to consulting engineers.
Support specification development and proper product application for consulting engineers.
Serve as a knowledgeable resource for consulting engineers throughout the project lifecycle.
Review plans, specifications, schedules, and project documentation.
Prepare accurate and timely quotations for HVAC air-side products.
Configure products to meet project requirements while coordinating with internal teams.
Manage multiple active quotations and project opportunities simultaneously.
Ensure quotations accurately reflect manufacturing capabilities and project needs.
Proactively follow up on significant quotes and project opportunities.
Gather intelligence regarding project status, competitive positioning, and award drivers.
Identify opportunities to improve win rates and strengthen customer relationships.
Maintain accurate project, customer, and opportunity information within CRM and ERP systems.
Interpret plans, specifications, and application requirements.
Resolve questions related to product application and configuration.
Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, and Sales teams to address complex challenges.
Deliver practical solutions that meet customer and project requirements.
