About The Position

The Technical Analyst role is a temporary, full-time position (40 hours per week) requiring onsite work in Altair's Frisco, Texas office. This role involves maintaining a thorough understanding of user needs from both business and technical perspectives, maximizing system efficiencies, and adhering to departmental policies and best practices. The analyst will collaborate with leadership, Product Owners, Product Analysts, Data Teams, and Development Teams to analyze, design, and develop solutions for complex issues. Responsibilities include participating in the design and implementation of new or changing processes, reviewing software systems, and contributing to ad hoc projects as requested by leadership. The role requires strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Engineering Management, Information Technology, Data Science, or the equivalent combination of experience, skills, training, and education
  • At minimum, 2 years of coursework and/or working experience in a Business Technology or Information Technology setting
  • Advanced knowledge of the MS Office platform including Visio
  • Familiarity with standard technical analysis tools and techniques
  • Performs well under pressure to meet deadlines, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Enthusiastic self-starter, with a go-getter attitude, who proactively takes on new tasks
  • Flexible and willing to work as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal
  • Analytical, with meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrates ethical behavior and high degree of confidentiality
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, proactive, and collaborative
  • Must be able to use standard company equipment and software
  • Must be able to operate standard office equipment
  • Team member spends substantial amount of time working on the computer, on the phone speaking with customers and working under deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a thorough understanding of user needs from a business and technical perspective
  • Maintains strong working knowledge of the company’s technical systems to maximize system efficiencies
  • Maintains strong working knowledge of departmental policies, processes, and best practices
  • Works closely with Business Technology leadership, Product Owners, Product Analysts, Data Teams, and Development Teams to analyze, design, and develop solutions
  • Uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways
  • Works on complex issues/projects where analysis techniques are used
  • Adheres to prescribed methods for obtaining solutions
  • Participates in design and implementation of new or changing processes
  • Participates in ad hoc projects, non-routine assignments and meetings as requested by the leadership team
  • Reviews and evaluates software systems and solutions for potential use
