About The Position

This role involves operating and making minor adjustments to various equipment including welders, testers, painting equipment, assembly machines, gauges, and material handling tools. The position requires performing visual and dimensional inspections to ensure quality standards are met. Additionally, the role may involve obtaining production materials, maintaining equipment fluid levels, and adhering to safety and environmental procedures. Record-keeping, including counts, charts, and labor tickets, is also a responsibility. The role requires advising supervisors and other personnel of any equipment or production issues.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write and follow simple instructions.
• Familiarity with dimensional requirements of a variety of parts.
• Ability to read and understand all work instructions including those pertaining to safety and environmental impacts.
• Requires fairly continuous handling of light and medium weight materials.
• Requires continuous mental application and visual attention in performing job duties.
• Requires constant standing, frequent bending and lifting above shoulder height.
• Some overtime is required.

Responsibilities

• Operates and makes minor adjustments on welders, testers, painting equipment, assembly machines, gauges, related equipment, material handling, forklift, power and hand tools.
• Performs visual and dimensional inspections using measuring instruments to maintain quality levels.
• Obtains materials needed for production.
• Maintains oil levels and coolants, safe operations and safety procedures.
• Maintains records, counts, charts, identification, labor tickets, etc.
• Performs other related duties.
• Advises supervisor and other personnel of equipment or production problems.
• Applies all environmental and safety procedures as outlined in work instructions.
