Requirements
- Completed Bachelor’s degree in any field
- 3+ years of professional experience
- Experience with MS Office: Excel in particular
- Experience with SQL including concepts like joins, aggregate functions, and stored procedures
- Experience with C#, Java, Python, or any other object-oriented programming language
- Ability to use Generative AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot to support analysis, documentation, testing, and productivity
- Familiar with Databricks and AWS
- The ability to work with confidential and sensitive information (HIPAA)
Nice To Haves
- Experience in financial services, actuarial science and/or insurance underwriting
- Relevant advanced degree or certification
- QA experience
- Experience in an Agile Scrum team
- Experience with Git or other version control systems
Responsibilities
- Support Irix technology, serving as a technical subject matter expert
- Learn the inner workings of our technology, and communicate effectively on technical subjects
- Execute all non-clinical adjustments to Irix Rules Engine and assist with clinical adjustments where necessary
- Perform detailed impact and regression testing within the Irix Rules Engine for client and clinical changes.
- Conduct mortality, incidence rate, and decision simulation studies following rule changes
- Assist with user acceptance testing of system changes
- Create, identify, and analyze test cases for proposed rule changes
- Update project management system with specifications and changes, statuses of tasks
- Check and validate team members’ work and results in peer review workflow
- Prepare and run reports for evidence-based research initiatives
- Deploy cloud-based systems to test
- Deploy legacy on prem systems to test and production
