About The Position

This internship is part of the Netsmart Futures Program, a 10-week summer experience designed for students to gain real-world experience in healthcare technology. Interns will work on hands-on projects, build connections with leaders and associates, and participate in professional development, networking, and social events. The Technical Analyst role focuses on configuring integrations and data exchanges between Electronic Health Record (EHR) software and other systems, training staff on solution usage, and applying knowledge of IT systems, data tools, analysis, and software architecture. The role requires strong communication skills, technical aptitude, and a willingness to learn, serving clients in a fast-paced, client-centered environment.

Requirements

  • Rising Senior or Rising Junior with a graduation date for a bachelor's or master's degree in December 2027, May 2028, December 2028, or May 2029.
  • Strong computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, or other applications).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and comfort presenting to audiences.
  • Ability to take initiative and manage multiple detailed tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrates achievement in academics, internships, co-ops, or other work experience (preferably involving business, clinical, analytical, and/or technical coursework).
  • BA/BS degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems Technology, Data Analytics, or similar.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • This position is not available for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate internally and with clients to configure integrations and data exchanges between Electronic Health Record (EHR) software, additional software systems, and 3rd party services.
  • Train staff to effectively use the features and functionality of solutions and integrations.
  • Apply knowledge and experience with information technology systems, data tools, analysis, and software architecture to think creatively.
  • Provide excellent communication on project and task status.
  • Learn assigned solutions in order to teach and train end users.
  • Work both in an office environment and travel to client sites.
  • Work in conjunction with other consulting members and designated client representatives on a daily basis.
