About The Position

The Technical Analysis Inspector - Heavy Equipment is responsible for conducting thorough incoming and outgoing inspections of machines. This role involves reviewing various data sources such as PIP & PSP, SOS, and Vision Link History, downloading reports from the ECM using ET, and analyzing Autolube Systems. The inspector must complete detailed documentation, including inspection reports and component rebuild intervals, while adhering to safety and environmental policies. This position also contributes to team efforts, may train or mentor others, and can temporarily assume supervisory duties. The role requires a strong commitment to safety, job-specific skills, effective communication, information gathering, initiative, results orientation, adaptability, credibility, and personal development.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 5-6 years of experience
  • Able to easily and effectively comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers.
  • Completed required training curriculum to be designated a Technical Analysis Inspector.
  • Moderate level capability in the use of a computer, Microsoft Office products and relevant Dealer software programs.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental and contamination control policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Wears proper personal protective equipment.
  • Attends and successfully completes required technician training classes.
  • Maintains high awareness of applicable technical changes in the industry.
  • Maintains necessary set of tools required for job performance to conduct inspections ensuring machines are returned to manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Perform thorough incoming and outgoing inspections of machines via web based portal with focus on understanding of product problems by reviewing PIP & PSP, SOS and Vision Link History prior to machine inspection, downloading Product Status Report from ECM using ET, downloading Autolube System (if installed), and pulling SOS Samples.
  • Completes required documentation including inspection reports, SOMA reports, component rebuild intervals, and preventative maintenance vs manufacturer’s scheduled intervals utilizing appropriate software.
  • Works in a neat and orderly fashion, constantly looking for ways of improving the methods of work, work area, and safety standards.
  • Assists with maintaining proper facility appearance and shop conditions by following proper contamination control guidelines, including housekeeping, and performing other general maintenance duties.
  • Monitors job expenses versus repair estimates and ensures that the supervisor is aware of any cost over run, prior to the job being completed.
  • Approaches work in a positive manner, maintains conduct that is supportive of the work Team and sets the standard for others to follow.
  • Contributes to Team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations.
  • Trains and/or mentors others in department.
  • Assumes Supervisors positon temporarily, as necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
