About The Position

Atlantic Medical Imaging is seeking a Full time Technical Aide to support the Women's Imaging and MRI teams. This is a great opportunity to join a growing outpatient radiology practice. Requirements

  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross Basic Life Support certification is required, and candidates must be willing to obtain within first thirty (30) days of employment.
  • Candidates must be willing and able to work in an MRI zone.
  • Intermediate computer skills with the ability to utilize standard office equipment is required.
  • The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated understanding of a positive patient experience.
  • Candidates must be highly organized and maintain attention to detail in all aspects of their work due to the nature of the role.

Nice To Haves

  • Some college coursework preferred.
  • Previous radiology practice experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a greeter and provides a welcoming first point of contact for patients and visitors.
  • Assists technologists with patient preparation, positioning, and wheelchair transport to ensure timely and safe imaging procedures.
  • Monitors waiting rooms and assists with department delay communication as needed.
  • Escorts patients as appropriate and assists with directing patients to changing areas or gowns, while maintaining patient privacy and dignity.
  • Assists patients with dressing/changing as needed.
  • Assists with laundry needs and ensure clean gowns and related items are available following infection control and safety standards are met.
  • Supports stat exam management by helping communicate priorities and workflow needs to appropriate staff.
  • Prepares imaging rooms between patients, ensuring infection control and safety standards are met.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of changing rooms.
  • Assists with Communications to providers for Stat exams as well documenting appropriately in Patient Exam notes and or Urgent Findings task.
  • Upholds patient confidentiality and always adheres to HIPAA regulations.
  • Maintains coffee stations, office snack areas, and general patient-facing amenities.
  • Orders and manages office snacks, department supplies, and inventory items according to established par levels. Assigns this to be gathered on a once-a-week basis.
  • Monitors and restocks supplies and maintain department supply areas in an organized and ready-to-use condition. Keeping boxes out of the hallways so not to block egress pathways for emergency.
  • Completes office rounding and report any concerns or potential safety issues to the Office Administrator.
  • Schedules and reschedules patients when needed.
  • Makes patient confirmation calls when assigned by the Office Administrator.
  • Assists with prior imaging records, CD uploads, and related documentation support when assigned by the Office Administrator.
  • Key Operator and assistance to modalities with Lift Assist patients.
  • Participates in departmental meetings, training sessions, and continuing education as required.
  • Follows all departmental policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • MRI: Provide operational support to the MRI department as assigned, including assisting with the “M” tasks as assigned.
  • MRI: Assist with patient positioning support only under the direction and supervision of qualified MRI staff and within approved scope and safety guidelines.
  • Women’s Imaging: MagView history data input.
  • Ultrasound exam Augmentation for vascular exams. (Squeezing calf, under Tech guidance.)
  • Procedure Qualified Observer/Chaperone- including Proper state training initially and annually.
  • Any other task(s) assigned by Office Administrator.
