About The Position

A high-growth, private equity-backed organization is seeking a Technical Accounting Manager to join its accounting team. This highly visible role supports executive leadership, strategic transactions, external auditors, and cross-functional finance teams, with exposure to complex accounting matters, policy development, M&A activity, and special projects. The role leads technical accounting research and documentation, advises on accounting conclusions, supports acquisitions and business combinations, and develops scalable accounting processes.

Requirements

7–10+ years of accounting experience.
Strong experience with technical accounting research and memo preparation.
Experience supporting M&A transactions and purchase accounting.
Ability to present complex accounting conclusions to senior executives and auditors.
Strong executive presence and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

CPA strongly preferred.
Big 4 or large public accounting foundation strongly preferred.
Experience in Technical Accounting, Accounting Advisory, Financial Reporting, or Transaction Advisory.

Responsibilities

Lead research, analysis, and documentation of complex U.S. GAAP matters.
Prepare and defend technical accounting memorandums and position papers.
Partner with executive leadership and external auditors on key accounting conclusions.
Serve as the accounting lead for acquisitions, business combinations, and strategic transactions.
Own accounting policy development and implementation.
Support technical accounting areas including ASC 718, ASC 805, ASC 606, and ASC 842.
Partner with Financial Reporting, FP&A, Tax, and Corporate Accounting teams.
Drive process improvements and scalable accounting solutions.
