About The Position

This role serves as the initial point of contact for all internal technical support needs, addressing issues related to computer hardware and software, telephones, networks, operating systems, printing, and internet access. The position involves escalating problems and coordinating with vendors for solutions when necessary. Responsibilities include performing installations, upgrades, moves, and changes for computer workstations, printers, and other peripherals. The role also entails coordinating with vendors for hardware, phone operating system, and network updates and repairs to ensure optimal performance. Additionally, the Tech Support role is responsible for identifying and ordering necessary equipment and components, maintaining records, logs, and reports of assistance, managing IT asset inventory and tags, and managing company software applications including user credentials, master files, backup files, and logs. The position may require attending company events outside of normal working hours and performing other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Intermediate level English – Read/write/speak/listen
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Ability to adapt to frequent changes in assignments and workload
  • Associate’s Degree or above required.
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Type a minimum of 40 WPM
  • Up-to-date IT knowledge
  • Knowledge of software and operating systems

Nice To Haves

  • Basic level Japanese preferred – Read/write/speak/listen
  • Bachelor’s Degree in information technology or other related field preferred
  • 3 – 5 years of experience as IT Technician or other relevant experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Japanese foods and sakes preferred

Responsibilities

  • Act as initial contact for all internal technical support required for computer workstation hardware and software, telephone, network, operating system, printing, and internet access problems
  • Escalate the issue and communicate with vendors for solution when necessary
  • Perform installs, upgrade, moves, and changes for computer workstation hardware and software, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Coordinate with vendors to update, maintain, and repair hardware, phone operating system, and network to ensure optimal performance
  • Identify and order necessary equipment and components to ensure smooth Company operations
  • Maintain records, logs and reports of assistance
  • Manage IT asset inventory and asset tags
  • Manage and maintain Company software applications including user credentials, master files, backup files, and logs
  • Attend Company events and functions outside of normal working hours
  • Other duties as required from manager
  • Obligation to answer to all management as requested
