About The Position

This role is responsible for the administration of technical publications, technical support, and warranty administration. The Tech Support Admin will serve as the primary technical point of contact with customers for warranty issues and will support aftermarket sales activities. This position requires a strong understanding of aviation technical publications and product support, with experience in the airline industry and knowledge of relevant regulations.

Requirements

  • Five years’ experience in aviation technical publication and product support.
  • Airline industry experience.
  • Working knowledge of FAA/EASA/CAAC regulations.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret proposals and contracts, technical procedures, and written correspondence.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, government representatives and airline maintenance personnel.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Working knowledge in Windows and software data packages, Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Demonstrated problem solving techniques, utilizing technical resources to research issues and propose alternative product application solutions.
  • Ability to participate as a team member, daily or in meetings.
  • Ability to listen actively and respond in group discussions.
  • Willingness to learn other job skills and assist other team members.
  • Understanding of team and business goals.
  • Reassess work based on team goals and team priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Airline maintenance experience and A&P license is recommended.
  • A 2- or 4-year technical degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is a plus.
  • Experience in ERP systems, internet portals helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Technical publications administration, including CMM/AMM creation & revision, provisioning data & documentation creation & revision, service bulletins & Service letters & revision, customer and operator technical publications, and distribution of Technical Publications.
  • Technical support administration, including support contract review for aftermarket support requirements, responding to customer technical issues and questions, identifying appropriate technical contacts within customer organizations, supporting aftermarket sales activities, and visiting customers to provide technical support.
  • Technical product & services support, including maintaining the Repair Capabilities Listing, maintaining a cross-reference of customer and BCA part numbers, and acting as a focal point with customers & sales for technical product issues.
  • Warranty Administrator, serving as the primary technical POC with customers for documenting findings, monthly internal reporting of warranty activity, and reporting of findings to customers.
  • Performing miscellaneous duties as required.
  • Promoting and abiding by HSE rules and policies.
