About The Position

This role is responsible for the administration of technical publications and technical support, including managing technical documentation, responding to customer inquiries, and supporting aftermarket sales activities. The position also involves warranty administration and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies.

Requirements

  • Five years of experience in aviation technical publication and product support.
  • Airline industry experience.
  • Working knowledge of FAA/EASA/CAAC regulations.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret proposals and contracts, technical procedures, and written correspondence.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, government representatives and airline maintenance personnel.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Working knowledge in Windows and software data packages, Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Demonstrated problem solving techniques, utilizing technical resources to research issues and propose alternative product application solutions.
  • Ability to participate as a team member, daily or in meetings.
  • Ability to listen actively and respond in group discussions.
  • Willingness to learn other job skills and assist other team members.
  • Understanding of team and business goals.
  • Reassess work based on team goals and team priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Airline maintenance experience.
  • A&P license.
  • A 2- or 4-year technical degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Administer technical publications, including CMM/AMM creation and revision, provisioning data and documentation, service bulletins, service letters, and customer/operator technical publications.
  • Manage the distribution of technical publications to customers, operators, airlines, and OEMs, and maintain customer contact information.
  • Provide technical support administration, including contract review for aftermarket support requirements, responding to customer technical issues and questions, identifying appropriate technical contacts, and supporting aftermarket sales activities.
  • Visit customers to provide technical support, inform them of product changes, and define their requirements.
  • Manage technical product and services support, including maintaining a Repair Capabilities Listing, cross-referencing customer and BCA part numbers, and acting as a focal point for customers and sales regarding technical product issues.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for warranty administration, documenting findings, reporting internally on warranty activity, and reporting findings to customers.
  • Perform all normal activities required in the administration of technical product support.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as required.
  • Promote and abide by HSE rules and policies.
