About The Position

M.C. Dean is seeking a Tech Specialist 3 to join their Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit. This role involves designing, engineering, integrating, operating, and maintaining electronic security services, including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, IT systems, perimeter defense, and command and control systems for federal, local, and commercial customers. The position requires managing and leading technical teams, programming and configuring security systems, developing governance models, identifying new business opportunities, and reporting on performance metrics.

Requirements

High School Diploma with 10+ years of experience with installation, troubleshooting and/or testing of electronic security systems
Associates with 8+ years of experience
Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years experience
Master's Degree with 3+ years experience
System administrator experience in performing triage on system problems, resolving the system problems, analyzing system data to prevent problems, and implementing new workstations and system extensions
Reliable attendance at customer site during work hours required by customer
Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes occasional nights and weekends
Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS

Responsibilities

Managing, leading and building technical teams and programs
Directly working, programming and configuring security systems
Developing security systems governance model - standards, playbooks and workflows
Developing and expanding service lines
Identifying new business opportunities that expand the scope
Delivering and reporting on KPI, SLA and SLO performances
Experience in programming and configuring fully federated security system deployments
Interface regularly with customers, partner teams, key stakeholders and technical experts.
Prepare and present quarterly business reports.
Report weekly, monthly and quarterly project statuses and operational performance to key stakeholders.
Suggest and plan program changes, enhancements, and overall improvements that align with the organizational strategy.
Manage team member performance, needs, training and development.
Manage all talent acquisitions and offboarding activities.
Build and manage strategic goals and operational costs budgets.
Coach, mentor, train and develop team members to reach their maximum potential.
