About The Position

NVIDIA is seeking a highly qualified engineer for its Ethernet Switch Networking Development team in Austin. This role involves leadership and hands-on technical work, focusing on Networking Switch SDK Verification. The individual will collaborate with Architecture, SDK & Firmware development, and Customer Facing teams. Responsibilities include creating new test infrastructure and enhancing existing systems to improve the quality of NVIDIA's Ethernet Software Stack.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science / Software / Electrical Engineering (or similar) or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years in developing software for Network validation and verification.
  • Expert level Python skills.
  • Experience with large-scale verification or automation frameworks.
  • Strong networking background (L2 / L3 / L4).
  • Proven Linux knowledge.
  • CI/CD & DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git, Gerrit, Docker).
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to align multiple teams and deliver results.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in scalable or distributed systems.
  • Experience with multi-node testing or performance validation.
  • Strong debugging skills (especially concurrency issues) while maintaining a cool and calm personality
  • Deep understanding of networking, data center topologies and embedded system architecture.
  • Previous experience validating vendor/merchant silicon.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of development and optimization of software, tools, and libraries, to maintain OS verification infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with hardware, firmware, DevOps, and software teams.
  • Develop new test suites for network protocols, pre and post silicon tests (bring up/simulation/ palladium).
  • Develop performance indicators, benchmarks to evaluate past and future software performance.
  • Build dashboards and reports including regression analysis and degradation detection.
  • Transform and improve existing automation workflows to rapidly deploy new software releases.
  • Drive the future evolution of CI/CD pipelines using AI agents and the latest toolsets/models.
  • Guide code reviews and architecture discussions and define standard methodologies for verification excellence.
  • Coordinate projects across verification teams worldwide.
  • Mentor and be a role-model for junior team members.
