About The Position
Noah’s Animal Hospitals are dedicated to improving the lives of pets and their owners. We aim to make every pet's experience comfortable and pleasant, regardless of the reason for their visit. We are seeking a motivated, caring, and dedicated individual to join our team as a Tech Assistant. This entry-level position in a veterinary clinic emphasizes learning and teamwork. It includes veterinary assistant training and offers potential promotion to Veterinary Assistant for dedicated individuals who align with Noah's Core Values. The Tech Assistant provides basic daily care for in-patient and boarding animals, including feeding, bathing, and exercising. Responsibilities also include cleaning equipment and clinic spaces, supporting veterinary technicians/assistants, and performing some customer service and client interaction. While the primary focus is the boarding kennel, the role involves splitting time between the kennel, grooming, and the clinic, offering experience in General Practice and Urgent Care medicine. You will be part of a friendly and knowledgeable team in a fast-paced clinic environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with a variety of dog/cat breeds required
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail
- Comfortable around a variety of animals with various temperaments
- Learn and embody the Noah's Core Values
Nice To Haves
- Previous kennel experience (strongly preferred)
- Current veterinary technician student (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Cleaning kennels
- Feeding/watering animals
- Litter box cleaning
- Laundry
- Sweeping/mopping
- Bathing animals
- Assisting the groomer
- Making surgery packs
- Proper and safe restraint of animals
- Assisting veterinary technicians with appointments
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Provides daily basic care for in-patient and boarding animals, including bathing, feeding, exercising.
- Responsible for cleaning of equipment and clinic spaces
- Assisting the veterinary technicians/assistants
- Some customer services and client interaction
