About The Position

Aspire Bakeries is seeking a Tech 2, Bakery Maintenance to join their team at the Swedesboro, NJ bakery. This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing bakery production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. The position is crucial for supporting production continuity, food safety compliance, equipment performance, and overall operational excellence.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
• Working knowledge of PLC troubleshooting.
• Ability to maintain accurate maintenance documentation and records.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, and food ingredients.

Nice To Haves

• 4–7 years of industrial maintenance experience in food manufacturing or bakery production environments.
• Experience supporting bakery equipment, fermentation systems, or bun production processes.
• Experience using SAP for maintenance planning and documentation.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, sanitation, and allergen control programs.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair bakery production equipment to support operational efficiency and uptime.
• Inspect equipment and facility systems to identify and resolve maintenance issues proactively.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and PLC-related equipment problems.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety, sanitation, GMP, HACCP, and allergen control requirements.
• Document maintenance activities accurately through work orders, logs, and supporting records.
• Partner with Production and Quality teams to address equipment reliability and food safety concerns.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance equipment performance, product quality, and workplace safety.
