About The Position
Aspire Bakeries is seeking a Tech 1, Bakery-Warehouse forklift operator to safely transport raw materials and finished goods throughout warehouse and production operations. The role supports production continuity, shipping accuracy, inventory accuracy, efficient product flow, and adherence to food safety standards. This position operates on the third shift from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Weekend work is required as business needs dictate. The listed hourly rate is $21.75–$23.00; actual starting pay may vary based on factors such as location, shift, education, skills, and experience.
Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years of stand-up forklift operating experience.
- Ability to safely and efficiently operate warehouse equipment.
- Basic English and/or Spanish literacy skills.
- Ability to perform physical work, including manual material handling and movement of products.
- Ability to follow food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance standards.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience in a food manufacturing, bakery, or related production environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and RF scanning equipment.
- Forklift certification or ability to successfully obtain in-house certification.
- Knowledge of HACCP and GMP principles and practices.
Responsibilities
- Operate stand-up forklifts to safely transport materials throughout warehouse and production areas.
- Deliver raw materials to support production and maintain proper inventory rotation.
- Verify product information, including lot codes, quantities, and product specifications, using warehouse systems.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts, stock tracking, and system updates.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics by positioning trailers and supporting shipment activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe warehouse environment in compliance with company standards.
- Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to ensure efficient operational performance.
