About The Position

Since our opening in 1987, New Hope Treatment Centers has been a welcoming place for young people in moments of crisis. The Team Supervisor is responsible for leading and maintaining the residential milieu to ensure a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment for residents. This position provides direct supervision and support to residential staff, oversees daily operations, and models best practices in care and safety.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record, if transportation or community coordination is required.
  • Ability to pass required background checks, drug screening, and any state-mandated employment clearances.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred or 1-year minimum experience in behavioral healthcare.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals in behavioral health, residential treatment, or human services settings.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of treatment plans and ensure follow-through.
  • Ensure treatment plan protocols are adhered to, particularly regarding special treatment procedures.
  • Attend and oversee shift meetings.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the unit as it relates to staff.
  • Report unusual situations on the unit to the Residential Director and Director of Residential Operations and/or Executive Director.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly unit, ensuring proper disposal of all waste.
  • Lead staff and resident activities on and off the unit.
  • Oversee and ensure the accurate documentation of incident reports.
  • Monitor staff performance and ensure proper execution of assigned duties.
  • Provide prompt, objective coaching and counseling to staff.
  • Participate in staff development and in-service training activities to enhance job knowledge.
  • Assist in the maintenance of time records.
  • Assists in the hiring process of Residential Counselors and/or Team Leads as needed.
  • Responsible for being on call except when on vacation. Will also be responsible for maintaining coverage and may be required to work in coverage to maintain the ratio, except when on vacation.
  • Ability to safely perform the physical components of restrictive interventions, including approved physical restraint techniques during crisis de-escalation.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
