About The Position

Family Farm and Home is a family-owned and operated retail company based in Michigan. Team Members contribute to the company’s mission of providing exceptional service, products, and prices focused on customers’ lifestyle needs. The role supports daily store operations and customer service while helping maintain the appearance, cleanliness, merchandising, and safety of the store. Team Members assist customers in person and through company-supported internet sites, process transactions and special orders, support online orders, and promote customer programs and financing options. They perform stocking, freight, recovery, signage, assembly, and other operational tasks assigned by store management or company officials. The role requires a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, and the ability to perform the listed physical activities.

Responsibilities

Promote the Family Farm and Home mission statement and family values.
Execute daily operational goals and priorities assigned by store management.
Use Farm Hand to receive communications and tasks from the corporate office and store management.
Greet customers and interact with them in a pleasant and positive manner.
Encourage customers to participate in company programs, including the loyalty program, extended warranties, add-on initiatives, financing, and Item of the Month.
Answer phone calls professionally and assist customers in stores, on company-supported internet sites, and with special orders.
Use the point-of-sale system to check out customers and follow cash-handling procedures.
Use On the Go to complete planograms and mass layouts in the correct locations according to the store layout.
Use Harvester to complete online customer orders.
Support and promote financing options, and use current financing websites to complete customer credit inquiries.
Assist with promotional signage, price changes, clearance pricing, and other in-store signage as directed.
Assist with freight, recovery, and out-of-stock processes.
Achieve passing scores on corporate store audits, assessments, and store walks.
Remain aware of in-store safety issues and shoplifting activity, and communicate potential issues to store management.
Uphold and support company loss-prevention measures.
Operate a forklift and/or pallet jack safely and efficiently if at least 18 years old.
Help build and assemble store displays, products, and fixtures.
Maintain cleanliness of the sales floor, receiving area, cash office, register area, restrooms, and break room.
Uphold merchandising, store-cleanliness, and safety standards.
Assist with the Daily Operational Standards checklist.
Contribute to a positive working environment for all team members.
Perform other duties as assigned by store management or company officials.
