The Team Manager – Production at Blue Oval City – Tennessee Truck Plant will have a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a key member of the start-up team, launching the facility from ground up.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • 3+ years' experience working in Manufacturing Process
  • 2+ years' experience managing teams in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in a stamping environment
  • Experience leading quality strategy
  • Competent in the use of data for decision making (for example, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement)
  • Strong ability to interface with plant hourly, salaried personnel and plant management
  • Strong ability to present in front of plant management
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated ability to resolve diverse problems
  • Need to work well under pressure and to be able to work under crisis management when necessary
  • Having the ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and empower production teams to achieve operational excellence, drive manufacturing standards, and deliver world-class quality.
  • Monitor adherence to manufacturing system standards and lean principles to consistently meet and exceed SQDCPME objectives.
  • Coordinate work plans (including downtimes, shutdowns, and system upgrades) and plan maintenance to ensure smooth, efficient production flow.
  • Ensure teams have the tools, inputs, and support necessary to maintain optimal production standards.
  • Engage regularly on the shop floor with empathy, listening to employees and coaching them to resolve abnormalities with permanent corrective actions.
  • Coach team members and shift supervisors, modeling Ford’s values to build a collaborative, highly competent team.
  • Foster a proactive, inclusive, and Zero-Tolerance environment where accomplishments are recognized and team morale is prioritized.
  • Ensure strict adherence to the Quality Operating System (QOS), including Control Plans, Process Verification, and Dimensional Capability.
  • Lead root-cause analysis to eliminate systemic issues and collaborate with the Variability Reduction (VRT) and Incoming Quality (IQ) teams to achieve world-class quality.
  • Oversee and complete essential administrative tasks to ensure daily compliance and operational alignment.
