About The Position

The City of Springfield is seeking Team Leaders for the Street Operations division of Public Works. The role directs and routinely participates in the work of Utility Cuts, Sidewalks, Street Maintenance, and Bridge and Waterways crews. The Street Maintenance Program maintains Springfield’s public streets and grounds in good condition and free from defects and safety hazards, using cost-effective maintenance techniques.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience in construction, repair, or maintenance in stormwater/water quality infrastructure or comparable areas of responsibility, or in asphalt work and traffic controls.
• At least one year of experience at the Equipment Operator II, Craftsworker, or equivalent level of responsibility.
• Experience must be commensurate with the program area for the current vacancy.
• Must obtain and maintain a Class A CDL and appropriate endorsements.
• Must provide proof of U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the United States.
• Must complete the City of Springfield online application in its entirety.
• Pre-employment drug testing is required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in Street/Sidewalk Maintenance or Utility Cuts crews.
