About The Position

Analyze and implement kaizen with TPS philosophy. Lead kaizen activities to focus on safety, quality, and productivity. Chosen team member will remain in the Kaizen department for a period of two years, depending upon performance. Candidate will return to their home department after the assignment has ended.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months experience in production or PC
  • Requires experience in the assessment of training needs and the development of programs to meet those needs.
  • Must have experience working with problem solving teams and training associates.
  • Understanding of the manufacturing processes and the support services necessary for associates
  • Positive leadership skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Understand the organizational structure and terminology
  • Must be knowledgeable of company products, design specifications, quality standards, procedures and equipment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office and other computer-based applications (e.g., MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Lotus Notes/Outlook, Internet, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Implement TPS methods and techniques to establish the most efficient processes and procedures.
  • Lead kaizen activities to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Analyze new and existing work processes and develop improvement plans in accordance with quality and engineering standards.
  • Support production operations to ensure on time delivery to the customer.
  • Update and schedule Kaizen activities using MS Office software to create charts, graphs, and additional Kaizen reports.
  • Perform functions such as instructions and demonstrating new processes to team members.
  • Provide sustaining engineering as needed and ensure the safety, quality guidelines and ergonomic principles are observed.
  • Develop and maintain time studies and yamazumi charts.
  • Design and fabricate jigs, racks, and tables used in manufacturing for Kaizen activities.
